📸 What exactly is a “boutique photography experience”?

A boutique experience means everything is tailored to you. From the first email to the final piece of artwork in your hands, I guide you through every step with intention, care, and expertise.

Here’s what that looks like:

• A pre-session consultation to dream up your perfect session and get to know your family’s dynamic
• Personalized wardrobe styling assistance using a professional platform
• A thoughtfully guided photo session that’s fun, relaxed, and connection-focused
• An in-studio reveal and ordering appointment where we turn your images into tangible heirlooms
• The delivery of finished, archival-quality artwork that brings your session to life in your home

This is photography as it should be—personal, purposeful, and full of heart.

What types of sessions do you offer?

I currently offer three main session types:

• Signature Boutique Sessions: A full-service experience perfect for families, maternity, or seniors. These sessions are deeply personalized, with a focus on storytelling, emotion, and heirloom artwork.
• Digital-Only Collection: For families who want a beautiful session with high-res files and a simpler, more streamlined experience. No ordering appointment—just a proofing gallery and gorgeous edited images.
• Studio Portraits: Limited edition portrait events hosted in my Atascadero studio. Think: back-to-school personality portraits, holiday minis, or one-of-a-kind themed sets. Fast, fun, and high impact.

Each one is crafted with care—and no matter which route you take, you’ll walk away with images you love.

Why do you focus so much on printed artwork?

Because your story deserves to live in your home—not disappear into a camera roll.

I believe photographs grow more valuable with time. And the truth is, letting them sit on a hard drive or ordering quick prints from a box store just doesn’t do them justice. My job doesn’t end when I take your photo—it ends when you have a finished piece in your hands that brings back all the feelings of that moment.

Every product I offer is archival, museum-grade, and made to last for generations. This isn’t just décor—it’s legacy.

Do you help with styling?

Yes—one of my favorite parts! Once you book your session, I’ll send you a personalized link to my Style & Selectplatform. You’ll answer a few quick questions about color palettes, vibe, and wardrobe preferences, and you’ll get curated outfit ideas pulled together into one easy-to-shop gallery. I’ll also be available to review choices and offer suggestions based on your location and session goals.

And don’t worry—coordinated doesn’t mean matching. Think movement, texture, and tones that feel like you.

Where do the sessions take place?

I shoot in some of the most stunning natural and urban locations across San Luis Obispo County—from golden fields in North County to misty coves and coastal cliffs near San Simeon and Avila Beach. I also offer sessions in my colorful Atascadero Studio, which is especially great for personality portraits, senior sessions, and clean, modern family photos.

How far in advance should I book?

If you’re considering a full boutique session, I recommend booking 6–8 weeks in advance. Fall and spring fill up the fastest, especially with mini sessions layered in. The earlier you inquire, the more flexibility we’ll have with dates and planning.

For studio minis and seasonal events, I release availability via my newsletter and Instagram—so make sure you’re following along!

Can I just get the digitals?

Yes—with some boundaries.
While I believe in the power of printed photographs, I also understand the desire for digital files. That’s why:

• My Digital Collection includes 15 high-resolution images with the option to purchase more individually or as a full gallery
• My Boutique Sessions include a product credit and allow you to add digital files as part of your custom order
  This way, your images live both in your home and on your devices—where they can be shared, celebrated, and remembered.

What’s the investment?

Here’s a transparent look at pricing:

• Signature Boutique Session
  • Session Fee: $195 (reserves your date + full pre-session experience)
  • Product Minimum: $950 (fulfilled at your in-person ordering appointment)
  • Most families spend between $1200–$2500 depending on artwork selection
• Digital-Only Collection
  • $750 flat rate
  • Includes 15 edited images, styling help, and an online proofing gallery
  • Additional images can be purchased for $100 each or $1850 for the full gallery with print release
